Why Does My Watermark Image Keep Making the Text Hard to Read When I Go to Print View
Watermark cut off when saving Word as PDF
Working with Office 2010 Pro Plus 64-scrap on a fully patched Win7 Pro 64-chip auto. My user has created a word certificate with a watermarkon it. It's from a color JPG file, set with partial transparency and then that anything typed into the document is conspicuously visible on top of it.
If we save it every bit a PDF from within Give-and-take then the bottom 2/3 of the watermark disappears. Only the top 3rd or and then of it is visible.
Ideas?

Not in this case. The watermark is not that large...probably only takes up one tertiary of the page, right in the center (vertically speaking.) The footer is well below the bottom of the watermark image.
I can attach images of both the discussion doc and the PDF if that would be helpful.

Ok here we become.
First, a screenshot of what it looks similar in word.

Well now that'southward odd...yous cannot run across the watermark except when you click on the image to view it at total size. Yes it is clearly visible in the snipping tool.

Here'southward what the PDF looks like, open in Adobe Reader xi.0.4.

for starters, i would work on the alignment since it really looks wrong!
You may need to compress the logo.
Manifestly; what y'all meet in Impress fashion is what the final product will exist. Then if your not happy with what you see in PDF mode so you demand to adjust it.
Keep in mind the margins on the word certificate makes it harder to judge.
If I were you; I would shrink it and place it in the dead center.Even increment the transparency since it will stick out too much when reading it will be hard to focus on the text..

Well, keep in mind the images I fastened were screen captures and so the proportions may be a bit deceiving. Information technology really does look pretty good and when printed the watermark doesn't make the text illegible.
I'yard attaching the give-and-take document itself now for feedback.

I'm attaching the word document itself at present for feedback.
This is more of what I think information technology should look similar.
I find the logo isn't even properly adjusted.
And the watermark shouldn't accept over the entire sail either.
Bank check this sample what I would recall information technology should look similar. (and the tag line doesn't necessary accept to be there either. )

Ok, then it won't let me attach the give-and-take doc due to file size constraints. I am attaching a screen cap of the unabridged document to try and better illustrate how information technology looks. The watermark is set up to 100% do it actually should't be creating a problem as it's well within the boundaries of the page.

Looks like spiceworks doesn't handle transparencies too well. You can encounter the watermark when the screen dims as you click on the epitome.

the logo itself doesn't look centered on the folio.
I would talk to your marketing dept and speak to whomever designed the logo.
Your company graphic artist should be able to set this to be used on a letter of the alphabet caput; equally the way its designed now; information technology doesn't look correct.

Gabriel,
This is i of those "customer is always correct" things. The company graphic artist and the arrangement spent much time and money to develop the logo you see. The logo is set and not up for negotiation. I learned a while back non to go bogged down in things that are outside my area of expertise and that I cannot alter. So while I agree with you that the text we're looking at appears to exist off eye, I tin assure you it is supposed to be that way and that the marketing and branding folks in that part of the organization accept adamant this logo to be the best way to communicate the message they desire.
The logo is centered on the page when you consider the "impact beyond experience" tag is ready off to the correct of everything else.
So with all this in mind, the question is, how do we make that watermark appear in its entirety when nosotros save as PDF?

The new FoxIt Reader (v6) has a PDF printer included. You could too try CutePDF Writer (needs a GhostScript printer, simply the link should be on their site, easy to find); I've had skilful success with CutePDF.
If it doesn't do the fox for you, at least you'll have a better thought of what'due south wrong.

That's an interesting tack to take, Gabriel. To be clear, what I am trying to practice is use Save As to make a PDF of the file...so nosotros're talking here near the PDF conversion functionality built into Word 2010 and not using PDFCreator or Acrobat or some similar to impress to PDF.
Print Preview looks fine, merely when I really print a hard copy of the certificate, the watermark is cut off in the same style as when saving to PDF.
I tried what the KB commodity suggested, and it didn't make a departure.

if the article didn't work and your trying to employ the built in feature of Microsoft; and so I would highly push button you to use the cutepdf equally a last resort.
I am certain y'all are frustrated with all the steps and efforts you lot are putting yourself thru to make this work; only Microsoft can't be responsible to brand your life easier all the time.. Endeavour Cutepdf and let me know :)

You might want to accept a expect at ABBYY's PDF Transformer. It is fully integrated into Microsoft Part and creates a single-push conversion tool within Microsoft's suite for your PDF needs. Cheque out the trial here and see if that works for you lot!

Gabriel - those are the steps that were used to put the watermark there.
Some other resource suggested I check with the user on the file format of the watermark image. Apparently images with transparent backgrounds cause rendering problems when used every bit watermarks. I'k checking with the user on the file format involved. Volition update when I know something.

I was having the same problem and searched and establish this stream. I only figured out that if the prototype is CMYK, it gets cut off, simply as RGB it works fine.
